Elizabeth Gilfilen

Biographie
Elizabeth Gilfilen received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (2001) and has since been the recipient of several awards and residencies including The Golden Foundation (2023), Yaddo (2013), The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop Studio Immersion Project (2013), The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Space Program (2010-2011), Gallery Aferro (2010), Aljira Emerge (2007) and The Bronx Museum of Art AIM Program (2005). She has been honored with nominations from The Joan Mitchell Foundation and The Dedalus Foundation. Solo exhibitions include YI GALLERY, Brooklyn, NY, Reynolds Gallery, Richmond, VA and The Hunterdon Museum of Art, Clinton, NJ. Reviews of her work have been featured in ArtSpielTwo Coats of PaintThe New CriterionThe Boston GlobeThe Newark Star-Ledger and The New York Times. Gilfilen lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
