Inspired by a dream the artist had at the beginning of COVID19 lockdown in Paris, where Kamura witnessed The Apocalypse arriving on earth - it had just stopped raining and fire was spreading across the rooftops in Paris. All the cathedrals gargoyles were spitting out lava, yet the sky was clear and the city was surprisingly quiet.
She created a series of digital collages based on the pictures of her work made while living in New York. She had to rush back to Paris due to the pandemic. Suddenly back in Paris after six months abroad, she found herself temporarily without a studio space to work. Using the scarce materials available in the transitional period, Kamura was able to go on with her art practice by mixing the NYC documentations into the pictures of an empty Paris.
